Commission suggests actions to improve carbon trading security

European commissioner for climate action Connie Hedegaard said the commission had identified actions which member states could take in the short-term to improve security. She recommended a number of measures including regular reviews and updates on registry security, and on an enduring basis review and strengthen policies for opening registry accounts.
