Renewable energy bonds launched for “hungry investors”

Renewable energy company Wind Prospect Group announced the launch of a new corporate retail bond onto the UK market on Wednesday 25 May. The bonds have been called "ReBonds" and are expected to appeal to investors looking to support UK green businesses. The bonds will deliver a 7.5% rate of return over the initial 4 year investment period; the company expects to raise £10mn. CEO of the Wind Prospect Group Euan Cameron said he expected a high level of demand because investors were "hungry for strong returns".
