Government challenges “over-zealous rules and regulations”

The Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) launched a new drive on Friday 24 June, calling on businesses employers, the public and government inspectors to challenge inconsistent and over-zealous rules and regulations. The initiative comes as part of the Red Tape Challenge the Prime Minister launched earlier in the month. The Government wants businesses to tell them about how the enforcement of regulations is preventing economic growth and harming business. Business minister Mark Prisk urged all businesses to take part and "help us get the Government off your back".
BIS
