Ofgem launches review of electricity transmission charging arrangements

On Thursday 7 July the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) announced it would start a Significant Code Review of electricity transmission charging issues under Project Transmit. The SCR will provide a holistic review of changes that could be made to the connection and use of system code under the transmission network use of system charging arrangements. Ofgem will focus on potential changes such as socialised charging and improved Incremental Cost Related Pricing. Stakeholders with relevant technical expertise wishing to participate in the working group should notify the regulator by 13 July.
