Government consults on micro-generation

On Wednesday 22 December energy minister Greg Barker launched a formal consultation document on the Government's Micro-generation Strategy. The strategy will investigate how to overcome barriers to increasing consumer confidence and sustainable growth in the industry following confirmation of financial support in the Spending Review through the Renewable Heat Incentive and Feed-in Tariffs schemes. Barker said he was "planting the seeds for growth" and this would enable small-scale energy generation to "flourish" in homes, businesses and communities.
