EIB plans sale of EU ETS Phase 3 allowances

Newswire Platts reported on Thursday 6 October the European Investment Bank (EIB) plans to start selling of the first tranche EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) Phase 3 allowances for 2013 shortly. It was claimed the sale could begin as soon as November, the EIB had already claimed in a previous statement that it would start selling the allowances within a month of them being delivered by the European Commission. Once the sales start, the EIB has said it will provide monthly reports on overall sales volumes achieved and aggregated prices obtained.
