EU traded power volumes down but prices up in 2011

The London Energy Brokers Association (LEBA), an industry association representing wholesale energy market brokers, published its monthly report on volumes traded on the EU over-the-counter power and gas markets on Wednesday 5 October. Year-to-date EU gas volumes increased by 8% to 534TWh, power volumes were down 18% to 325TWh, but prices had increased by 19% over the year.
