Bonfield Review recommends universal energy efficiency quality mark
A quality mark should be established for all energy efficiency and renewable energy measures, and for all companies operating in the sector in order to improve consumer confidence, the Bonfield Review has recommended. The review was jointly commissioned by DECC and DCLG in July 2015 to investigate consumer advice, protection, standards, and enforcement for home energy efficiency and renewable energy measures. In its report, issued on Friday 16 December, the review advised that to achieve the kitemark companies would be expected to demonstrate technical competence, quality performance, and customer interfacing skills, with this high-level solution supported by more detailed recommendations. Feedback on the proposals is invited until 31 January 2017.
