CCC to collaborate with Chinese counterpart to assess climate risk
The Committee on Climate Change (CCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its Chinese counterpart at an official ceremony at the Paris climate talks. The MoU marks the start of a two-year collaboration between the CCC and the China National Expert Committee on Climate Change focusing on risk assessment. The two committees will agree a joint work programme to be delivered between January 2016-June 2018. The partnership follows an agreement signed between prime minister David Cameron, energy and climate change secretary Amber Rudd, and their Chinese counterparts during President Xi Jinping’s UK state visit in October 2015.
