Energy Catalyst offers funding for business innovation
Businesses have been invited to apply for a share of £10mn from the Energy Catalyst. Established in 2013, the Energy Catalyst aims to support firms in progressing their innovations to commercial readiness so that they can help tackle the energy trilemma. The latest funding comes in addition to the £6mn already committed by the Department for International Development, and the £3mn committed by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. Applicants for these early-stage awards must register before 7 September, and projects must last no longer than 12 months. The amount of funding businesses can attract varies between 25%-70% according to the type of award and size of business.
