Energy networks call for stable regulation
The energy networks will require regulatory stability in order to ensure they can deliver the best value for customers, an industry group has said. The Energy Networks Association (ENA) set out on Tuesday 18 August the key policy areas on which it would like the energy and climate change select committee to focus its scrutiny over the coming years. The ENA further highlighted the need for the committee to consider the long-term impacts of energy policies, and how short-term aims affected wider energy goals. This approach would, it said, be particularly important in defining a credible strategy for incorporating new renewables onto the network.
