Haven partners with the Energyst to release new Energy Report
Haven has partnered up with the Energyst to release a new Energy Report for 2016 – analysing market trends, perspectives and forecasts.
Businesses are set to become more energy efficient, with increased plans to implement energy-reducing measures, according to the Director’s Energy Report 2016.
Produced with The Energyst, the report gives an important overview of the energy market from the perspectives of key directors and decision makers across UK businesses. Significant trends include: energy moving up the agenda and growing as a strategic focus for businesses; increased awareness of the energy industry and the importance of having an energy risk plan; a high proportion of businesses engaging in some form of energy efficiency (88%); and 93% of businesses planning to implement energy-reducing measures over the next 12 months.
Looking at wholesale prices, roughly half of respondents believe that costs will remain the same for 2016, although all other elements are predicted to increase. When questioned on the importance of having fixed or flexible pricing, there is an increased preference for a cost savings approach compared to 2015.
The report also indicates that trust in power suppliers has decreased slightly over the past 12 months. Transparency remains a crucial issue for many business when it comes to purchasing their energy and it would seem that working with the right supplier will be key in 2016.
