Non-domestic sector losing confidence in energy efficiency policies
The confidence of organisations that supply energy efficiency solutions to the non-domestic sector is at an all-time low, according to a new survey. Energy Efficiency Verification Specialists (EEVS) recently published its latest Energy Efficiency Trends report. It showed that six in 10 suppliers in the sector regarded the government’s management of energy efficiency policy as ineffective, while confidence in the wider economy also dropped during the second quarter of the year. Consumer trends were somewhat more positive, with 80% reporting having commissioned energy efficiency projects during Q215––up from the typical level of around 70%.
