Small businesses name Extra Energy worst for complaints handling


Extra Energy has come bottom of Citizens Advice’s complaints league table for small business customers for the second quarter in a row. The latest update, issued on Friday 31 March, gave the company a complaints-handling score of 1231.2/ 10,000 customers, with common problems including a failure to notify business customers when a contract was coming to an end. At the top of the table, SSE delivered the best score (11.7), followed by E.ON UK (17.9) and CNG (29.5). Citizens Advice Chief Executive Gillian Guy said: “All energy suppliers must step up efforts to resolve issues quickly and satisfactorily and ensure they are delivering consistently high quality service for their small business customers.”
