Haven Flex business electricity
Haven Flex is developed for businesses wanting to manage their electricity costs on a more dynamic basis. The Haven Flex product puts the customer firmly in the driving seat, allowing them to control the extent and timing of their forward exposure as well as the wholesale electricity price they are willing to accept.
We have kept Haven Flex very simple. The single fully flexible solution means customers choose the level of flexibility within a framework that suits them.
Haven Flex key benefits:
- Haven Flex contracts are available for a minimum period of two years and can be extended indefinitely for whole years by agreement
- The baseload volumes to be locked can be chosen by the customer. Where necessary they can extend this choice to peak load volumes and to unlock decisions
- The number and capacities of tranches that aggregate to the volumes to be purchased with a minimum capacity of 1MW available
- An agreed published index to track the market (if required)
- A fixed account management fee for the whole of the contract term
- A shape fee, fixed for an agreed term, for the quantity of the residual power requirements not accommodated within the baseload (and peakload) purchases
- Customers manage their wholesale energy purchases, so the associated energy costs ( RO, BSUoS and AAHEDC) and the delivery costs (DUoS & TnUoS) are passed through to them
- Haven Flex even allows customers to forward purchases for up to five years
- As with other Haven products Haven Flex is available as a renewable energy option
To qualify you must have:
- Typically spending more than £100k per site with a minimum annual volume of 2GWh, no upper limit
- Minimum standard term of 24 months, but shorter terms may be agreed in some circumstances. The contract term is open ended and when the contract begins customers may chose to fix for up to five years
- A credit profile acceptable to Haven Power
- A firm forecast of your electricity consumption - both volume and usage pattern.
Customers looking to manage their costs more dynamically
- Customers who can accept and manage the greater degree of complexity that comes with such a contract. Haven Power can vary the extent of flexibility to match contracts to customers appetite for risk.
- Customers who are willing to accept price risk, by choosing to purchase volumes progressively against the market rather than by purchasing the whole volume requirement at the outset
- Customers who have uncertain volume requirements and choose to purchase against the market for the next immediate period, for example, the next three months, where the volume requirement is a little more defined.
Haven Flex is a valuable package that includes:
- A daily 'Triad Warning' service which provides a view of the following day's triad probability and the position over the next 10 days
- Direct access to our customer trading desk during business hours where we complete wholesale energy transactions with our customers
- A daily market price report providing a comprehensive market overview - view a sample
- A daily customer position report that provides a comprehensive 'Mark to Market' view of the customer's position. It takes account of energy transactions that have been fixed as well as the impact of any unfixed volumes exposed to the wholesale market.
