National Grid and BEIS confirmed on Tuesday 23 May that appeals have been received from contracts for difference (CfD) applicants deemed to be non-qualifying for the auction.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 6 June, after which they will have until 13 June to appeal to Ofgem, who subsequently have until 3 August to inform appellants of their decision. No further information was given about who the qualified or unqualified applicants are.
Scenarios four and five of the CfD Implementation Plan are now no longer applicable.
