Figures released by BEIS on Thursday 25 May have revealed that a total of 1,027,700 domestic smart meters were installed by large energy suppliers in Q1 2017.
This represents a 10% increase in domestic smart meter installations compared to the previous quarter. As at 31 March 2017 there were 5.76mn meters operated in smart mode by large energy suppliers in domestic properties across GB.
Over the same period, 13,800 smart and advanced meters were installed in smaller non-domestic sites by large energy suppliers – a 6% increase compared to Q4 2016.
