Haven Power, one of the UK’s largest business electricity suppliers, has been named ‘Supplier of the Year’ at the 2016 Energy Awards. The Ipswich-based company scooped the top spot at the awards event, beating off stiff competition from other energy suppliers.
The Energy Awards, which took place in London last night (30th November), celebrate energy efficiency, customer service and partnerships, and aim to set standards for best practice within the industry by ‘rewarding excellence in the energy business’.
For the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award, the Energy Awards said their judges were “keen to sort out the myths from the reality, to delve beneath the hype and the headlines and to recognise the supplier that provides the best all-round service to business customers”. “Suppliers should therefore provide evidence of service, effectiveness, investment and innovation for their customers large and small.”
Haven’s submission for this award focussed on continued innovation for the benefit of our customers – an example of which is a new, dedicated connections team that was created to simplify the new connections process, since this had been identified as a problem area for customers in the industry.
The enhanced processes employed by this team have ensured that customers are receiving the simplest, most informed customer journey possible; with same day indicative pricing and arrangement of installation happening within 48 hours of supply being registered.
With praise for everyone’s effort and involvement, Jonathan Kini, Haven Power’s CEO, said: “This is testament to the hard work of everyone at Haven Power. Our new business strategy aims to set Haven apart from competitors in the UK energy supply market and this award is an industry endorsement of its success.“
“We are committed to inspiring change in energy use and helping to make sustainability second nature by providing simple, ingenious products and services that make a difference to businesses. We’re proud to stand out from other suppliers and be recognised as ‘Supplier of the Year’. “
