Happy New Year to you!
January is a time to consider fresh strategies. At Haven Power, our aim is to make energy simple for you – by helping you take advantage of business opportunities and by helping with your energy planning.
So, expect to see a number of blog posts in 2018 about understanding and controlling your energy costs, and on ways to improve energy efficiency.
When it comes to cost, customers tell us they’re worried about the continuing rise of energy bills – and no wonder, given the price trend over recent years:
However, it might surprise you to learn that the unit price of the wholesale electricity – which determines what you pay for your consumption – isn’t the major element within this total. Rather, it’s the third party costs or TPCs (the non-energy charges) that add up to well over half of your bill – as you can see from this infographic.
For more details about these charges, read our TPC Guide.
Unfortunately, uncertainty around TPCs is set to continue throughout the coming year. However, one way to gain more control is to choose a fixed price contract and set your charges at an agreed level for the whole term. To find out more, email firstname.lastname@example.org
As always, if you’d like to discuss your energy, you can call our experts on 01473 725943.
