Our mission is to help your business use energy more effectively

To understand it, take control of it, and make it work hard for you. Switching to our renewable, biomass electricity is a simple first step – better for business, better for the planet. We’ll then take power off your plate, help you optimise your use, and even put power to work for you, creating new revenue streams and driving value, while you focus on driving your business forward.

Innovating for a sustainable future

Being part of Drax Group means you can have confidence in our energy supply, as well as our commitment to sustainability. The majority of the electricity we supply comes from Drax – generated with responsibly-sourced, compressed wood pellets, it produces 86% less carbon than coal-generated energy.

Alongside Drax, we’re driven by the ambition to use renewable energy to shape a better future. To re-imagine energy, the Drax Research and Innovation team and our product development specialists are continually collaborating to find new ways to optimise energy use. Together, we’re aiming to create a brighter, more sustainable future.

    Collaborating with our local community

We're passionate about working with charities and the local community. Since 2016, we’ve raised more than £30,000 for charities – including Alzheimer’s Society, Down's Syndrome Association and Macmillan – and donated more than 1,300 hours of volunteer work. In 2017-18, we supported local charity Eden-Rose Coppice Trust in helping transform a neglected woodland in Ipswich into a safe retreat for people with disabilities and life-limiting diseases.

    Supporting self-sufficiency

Together with Pixie Energy – a company committed to making things better for communities – and local councils, we’re contributing to an ambitious programme to make Ipswich a ‘Smart City.’ We’re exploring an exciting initiative to create a micro-generation system that includes a solar farm, battery storage and electric vehicle charging.

    Innovating for impact

Working with partners like KiWi Power, we’re able to help businesses turn energy into an asset. We worked with the demand response aggregator to enable Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust to make the most of the five generators located across their sites. Through a bespoke solution, Colchester now earns around £200,000 annually from power generation.
